Top Player Props for Friday’s Slate
Vaughn Dalzell shares his top player props for this Friday, focusing on Anthony Davis, Tyrese Maxey, and Stephen Curry.
Anthony Davis O/U 24.5 Points vs. Suns
In the season opener, Anthony Davis had an impressive performance, shooting 11-of-23 from the field (47. gogo jilicom8%) and 13-of-15 (86.6%) from the free-throw line, totaling 36 points against the Timberwolves. Facing Jusuf Nurkic and a Suns team that lacks size and depth, Davis is poised for another high-scoring game.
Nurkic played only 22 minutes due to foul trouble (4 fouls), while Oso Ighodaro clocked in 12 minutes, and Mason Plumlee contributed 14 minutes off the bench. None of these players is likely to put a stop to Davis’s scoring.
In a previous matchup, Ivica Zubac scored 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds against the Suns, while Derrick Jones Jr. and Amir Coffey combined for 23 points. I’m confident in taking Davis to go Over 24.5 Points at -110 odds with DraftKings . Let’s aim for back-to-back wins on AD!
Pick: Anthony Davis Over 24.5 Points (1u)
Tyrese Maxey O/U 29.5 Points at Raptors
With Joel Embiid and Paul George absent for Philly, Tyrese Maxey stepped up significantly in the season opener, although he only managed to score 25 points. Maxey was active on offense, taking 31 shots, connecting on 10-of-31 from the field (32.3%), 2-of-9 from three-point range (22.2%), and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line (75%). This level of volume makes him a solid pick until Embiid or George return.
The Raptors were dominated by the Cavaliers in their opener, with Donovan Mitchell scoring 21 points in 28 minutes on 7-of-14 shooting. If Maxey gets over 35 minutes in a competitive matchup, he’s likely to surpass his point total. I’ve placed a bet on Maxey to go Over 29.5 Points at -113 odds on FanDuel and would consider taking him at 30.5.
Pick: Tyrese Maxey Over 29 arsenic in rice.5 Points (1u)

Steph Curry O/U 26.5 Points at Jazz
During the third preseason game, Steph Curry suffered an injury to his right index finger on his shooting hand. Although he made it through the 2024 season opener, his performance was not ideal. Curry managed to shoot 4-of-10 from the field, 3-of-7 from three-point range, and 6-of-6 from the charity stripe, finishing with 17 points against Portland in 25 minutes. The Warriors surged ahead after halftime, limiting Curry’s scoring opportunities (10 rebounds, 9 assists).
It appeared that Curry’s finger injury may have affected his early game performance, as he went 0-for-4 in the first quarter and 1-for-3 in the second quarter (0-for-4 from three in the first half). However, he found his rhythm in the third quarter, hitting 3-of-3 from beyond the arc, and he didn’t play in the fourth.
I’m leaning towards taking Chef Curry to go Under 26.5 Points at -125 odds on DraftKings and would consider going down to 25.5 points for 1.5 units misses in tagalog. who is the best ml player in the world
Pick: Steph Curry Under 26.5 Points (1.5u)
Season Record
Current Record: 9-3 (75%) +6.3 units
